Christmas Cover Bonus From Direct Line

With Christmas now only a few short weeks away Direct Line are helping their policyholders by increasing the levels of cover for gifts.

Cover will be increased by GBP 5,000 or 10 percent of the sum insured, whichever is the larger. It is a sensible move to have this extra cover, especially as there will be an estimated GBP 18 billion worth of extra goods in houses across the country this Christmas.

As well as increasing the level of cover Direct Line are recommending enhanced security measures too, to protect homes from those eager to pick up something for nothing. Simple measures can make a big difference, for example keeping gifts away from windows, making sure doors are locked and being wary of unknown visitors during the festive period.
