Electronic motor insurance documents are required says AA

Published: 02/11/09

AA motor insurance is calling for the introduction of electronic car insurance certificates as the postal strike seems to be delaying important paperwork in the post.

This could cause problems for some motorists who left renewing the policy at the last minute. You might find that there is a gap in the Motor Insurance Database between the expiry dates of the old policy documentation. Only problem is that the Police get there information about car tax and motor insurance from this database.

That’s why if you can get an electronic version of your document sent via email, you’ll have you’re insurance certificate and you don’t have to worry about the post man delivering it.
