Motorists find parking problems can lead to scratches says Aviva
Published: 03/11/09
Aviva motor insurance has found that many of their policyholders are finding that parking in awkward spaces is contributing to their vehicles being scratched and thus making an insurance claim for the damage.
The company offers some helpful tips to motorists such as don’t feel rushed by other cars queuing behind, try to stay calm and take all the time you want to enable you to park your vehicle properly. You could also take up two spaces on the car park like some drivers do or just park at the end of the car park were there are sometimes less cars.
If you are having difficulty trying to fit in a space then you could also ask someone else to help guide you in, or find another parking space that has more room.
